Blast Off, Baby is 3PM Noize Complaint's Debut EP, released October 2022. The songs capture a range of musical backgrounds from jazz and pop blues to grunge and metalcore which creates the sonic brew that is 3PMNC's signature sound: groovy riffs with driving drums that complement a vocal performance chock-full of catchy earworms!
“The band is off to a solid start. I think a lot of people will appreciate the mix of genres, which combined with solid songwriting, proves to be a winning formula. Take a listen.”
– Jamie Funk (Sound Engineer), Pitch Perfect
The Band
3PM Noize Complaint began with frontman T Scarborough and bassist Evan Branham jamming their favorite rock tracks. Noticing a lack of appreciation for the genre in the Yale community, they set out to spread their love of rock, and to reel the audience in, they thought "Why not play those classic songs we listened to when we were kids?" Thus, 3PMNC was born and continues with high-energy shows full of hit covers from the likes of Green Day and Blink-182, and a medley of TV themes, like the Phineas and Ferb Theme and the Scooby-Doo Theme (replete with scooby-doo snacks thrown into the audience), and they always make sure to bring the light show. When they aren't playing shows, they're working on new music.
Vocals: T Scarborough
Singer and multi-instrumentalist T Scarborough began playing trumpet in concert band at a young age, eventually acquiring guitar in high school, and later started singing senior year of high school in church. Heavily influenced by his mom's rock-centric music taste and encouragement from his favorite high school teacher, T continued his musical career by picking up the mandolin, bass guitar, and keys. His favorite genres have included '90s and 2000s rock (mostly pop-punk), Christian, country, rap, and pop. His musical path has most notably involved deep dives into the discographies of Blink-182, Metallica, RHCP, Green Day, The All-American Rejects, Mayday Parade, Ed Sheeran, Morgan Wallen, Riley Green, Juice Wrld, and MercyMe.
Lead Guitar: Thomas Zamora
Guitarist and vocalist Thomas Zamora draws from a wide range of musical influences. Moving from the thrash metal of Metallica to the bluesy rock of John Mayer, he has developed a diverse style of playing that currently sees him in fascination with Midwest emo and post-hardcore, influencing many of the leads he creates today.
Rhythm Guitar: Lachlan Keller
Lachlan Keller was basically born into the music scene and lifestyle, and through his father's connections has jammed with legends like Judas Priest, Toni Iommi, and Dave Mustaine - though he doesn't take it for granted and attributes this experience to helping him become the best of himself on stage vs trying to be someone or something else. During college, Lachlan has prioritized music, recording with Tanya O'Callaghan (Dee Snider) for the upcoming TV series 'Highway to Health', writing and recording the heavy metal solo album "American Blight" under the band name Lanlok, teaming up with singer/songwriter Talia Korobkin to release the debut EP "Rain and Shine" under the indie pop band Caligold, and co-writing the debut EP "Blast Off, Baby" with 3PM Noize Complaint. When not banging on the drums or shredding on the guitar, you'll find Lachlan diligently studying, traveling to far-flung countries, or surfing in his hometown in Southern California.
Bass: Evan Branham
Multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Evan Branham began playing bass his senior year of high school, learning lines from legends like Bruce Dickinson and John Paul Jones. Drawing on his influences, he aims to write fun melodic basslines that fit a song's picture. In his solo project, Branham released his first LP and concept album, Love Songs from my Twisted Mind as an experiment in production in October 2022. He hopes to work as an audio engineer and produce for other artists in the future. Branham is inspired by sleek songs with simple melodies and hooks with timeless production; to quote Da Vinci, "Simplicity is the ultimate perfection".
